Peyton West directs the AAAS/NSBA Science, Mathematics, and Technology Education Project (SMarT) at the American Association for the Advancement of Science. She has been working since 2006 to provide local school boards with access to information and training about science, mathematics, and technology education.  She has worked with a number of state associations inluding Colorado, Illinois, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma and Virginia and has presented at the 2007 and 2009 National School Boards Association Annual Conferences and the 2010 National School Boards Association's Technology and Learning Conference. A former wildlife biologist, Peyton is passionate about ensuring that all students have access to the best science, mathematics, and technology education.
